Aberdeen, WA- The United Way of Grays Harbor, serving Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties announced they have partnered with the Gray Harbor Bearcats and will be hosting the pre-game “tailgate” festivities at all the home games this season from 3-5pm. Local food vendors, games, inflatable toys, musical acts and special guest will be a major part of the festivities held before each game at Olympic Stadium.
With five regular season home games scheduled for June 5, June 19, June 26, July 24 and August 14, the community has the opportunity to enjoy family fun festivities at a low cost. “This is a really great opportunity for us to get out and enjoy the community we live in”, noted United Way Executive Director Lynsi Polanco. “We are excited to partner with the Bearcats and thank them for giving us this exciting opportunity to be a part of their season.”
Tickets are available at www.ticketswest.com for both individual and season tickets. Ticket prices for the event are $10 for general admission or $15 for reserved seating, as admission to the “tailgate” party includes seating at the Bearcats game at 6pm. Admission is free for children 12 and under and adults over 65. Season tickets are available for $25 and $40. The regular season ticket ($25) includes admission to all the games, pre-season and playoff home games and half off away games. The premier season ticket ($40) gives you all the same privileges as the regular season but with reserved seating and access to all the pre-game events hosted by the United Way of Grays Harbor.
The season opener is for Saturday June 5th, with harbor favorite, Ready or Not, scheduled as the headlining band to kick off the season’s festivities. Future bands and special guests will be announced closer to the date of the game at www.ghbearcats.com and www.unitedwaygh.com.
The United Way is currently seeking non-profit organizations to run food and game booths, as well local bands to perform. If your band is interested in playing, June 26, July 24 or August 14, or if your organization is interested in a booth for all home games, please contact Lynsi Polanco at the United Way office, (360) 532-6260

Coat and Blanket Drive
Usually held in November, the United Way of Grays Harbor teams up with local businesses to establish “drop off” sites in which the public is asked to donate slightly used or new coats and blankets. Then on the selected distribution day, sites in each bigger city of Grays Harbor hand out coats and blankets to families that need it most.

Drive-thru Breakfast
As a way to say thanks to the community for all their support, the United Way of Grays Harbor pairs up with Ocean Spray, Jays Fruit Stand, Suzie’s Cakes and Starbucks to provide a breakfast to those that drive thru the selected locations- last year all Anchor Bank locations and Dennis Company (Aberdeen).
